Ok, I’ve been using Twitter for a couple of days now, and it’s kind of fun. I was showing it to Niel yesterday. Like everyone he’s been hearing about it, and wondering if it was as stupid as it sounds. I showed it to him, and like most, he quickly concluded that it was, in fact, horribly stupid.

I’m running twitterific on my Mac, and it gives me a nice chain of messages from my friends telling me what they’re doing right now. I can’t help but thinking that this is how Dodgeball should have been in the first place. I can easily see what my friends are doing, where they’re hanging out, etc using Twitter. It’s more generic, and easier to use.

So will I keep twittering? For now. I’m heading to SXSW and i’ll use my phone to send tweets from there (which I understand will appear on a big board, woo hoo). After that I’ll decide if it’s worth anything. It has been fun to see what people I know are up to - in some cases sparking conversation or laughter.
