Some guy live-twittered the birth of his kid.

I built my own system to do this in 2001, for the birth of my first kid. I sent emails to my server from my Blackberry in the hospital, and my server created a live web log for my family to follow. They loved it. Everybody thought I was crazy. I gotta dig that web page up. I think it’s on a server that’s turned off in my basement somewhere.

I guess I should have started a company doing that kind of thing, huh? I would have been 4 years ahead of Twitter. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
